The Flight of a Lifetime: AmeriLife Honors America’s Heroes
Our country was built on the sacrifice of Veterans. Like AmeriLife’s mission — to help people live longer, healthier lives — our Veterans’ legacies have delivered a stronger, safer, and more secure America. In recognition of those sacrifices, the AmeriLife Gives Back Foundation and Honor Flight Network are proud to open nominations for an extraordinary opportunity for deserving Veterans.
As part of a special AmeriLife-sponsored Honor Flight, Veterans from all over the country will travel to Washington, D.C., in November for a once-in-a-lifetime experience to be honored and honor the bravery of their comrades at our nation’s memorials.

Become an Honor Flight Guardian
Become an Honor Flight Guardian — The Next Step is Yours
If you’re nominating a Veteran, don’t stop there. The most meaningful thing you can do next is apply to be their Guardian.
Guardians are the Veterans’ travel partners for the entire Honor Flight experience — and the best person for that role is usually the one who knows them best: a family member, a friend, a caregiver. You’ll be by their side for a full 12-hour day in Washington, D.C., which may include pushing their wheelchair and walking up to 10 miles through our nation’s most sacred memorials. It’s a commitment — and it’s one of the most rewarding things you’ll ever do.
To be eligible, guardians must be a non-spouse family member, friend, or caregiver and at least one generation younger than their Veteran. Click below to apply. Veterans can also list their preferred guardian directly on the Veteran nomination form so we can match you together.
Veterans who do not yet have a guardian will have access to a separate application process — details coming soon.
Guardian nominations will close on July 31, 2026.
